How Afterpay works
Our partnership with Afterpay allows you to get your dental work now, while giving you the flexibility to Pay it in 4 with Afterpay – Get your dental work done now and pay it in 4 instalments over 6 weeks, interest-free!
To use Afterpay at Cranbourne North Dental, use your Afterpay card (on the Afterpay app) when you need to pay for your appointment on our Eftpos machines*. You pay for the first instalment of 25% at the time of purchase, and the remaining three instalments will be automatically deducted from your nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.
*Please note that a credit card surcharge may apply to your Afterpay Card transaction.
No additional costs – No interest and no additional fees are charged when you pay on time.

Download the Afterpay App from the Apple App Store or Google Play
To set up an Afterpay account you’ll need to:
- Live in Australia or New Zealand
- Be over 18 years of age
- Have an Australian/New Zealand debit card or credit card linked as your preferred payment method
- Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number
- Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number
- Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract
- Credit checks apply

Check your spending limit by pressing the barcode icon in your Afterpay App
Your spending limits will vary depending if you are a new or existing Afterpay customer and your repayments on current orders
Pay for your visit by tapping your Afterpay card on our Eftpos machines
Once approved, the payment schedule will be displayed in the Afterpay App.
*Please note: Failure to make a payment on time will result in an initial late fee of $10 and a further $7 fee if the payment remains unpaid 7 days after the due date.

What is Afterpay?
Afterpay allows you to pay over time in various ways. Pay in 4 lets you pay for your items in 4 payments over 6 weeks, interest free. It’s a simple way to manage the cost of your dental treatment without paying everything upfront.
Are there any fees with Afterpay?
Afterpay caps Pay in 4 late fees to help keep costs manageable for customers who miss a payment. Pay in 4 late fees will never exceed 25% of the order total or $68 per order, whichever is lower.
Here’s how this works for Pay in 4:
For orders under $40: A one-time late fee of up to 25% of the order total applies.
For orders of $40 or more: A $10 Pay in 4 late fee is charged when a payment is missed. If the outstanding amount remains unpaid after seven days, an additional $7 Pay in 4 late fee applies. This is the same for all late payments until the 25% cap or $68 amount is reached. To remain within the cap, partial amounts of the $10 and $7 fees may be charged.

Afterpay is committed to doing everything they can to help you not miss a payment, including sending you payment reminders. For Pay in 4, they also offer options to reschedule eligible upcoming payment dates.
Do I need a deposit if I sign up with Afterpay?
You will need to ensure that you have at least one quarter (25%) of the amount you are going to use in the linked account. E.g. if you are going to spend $400 on Afterpay, you will need to make sure you have $100 in your account ready to be debited by Afterpay.
Is Afterpay safe to use?
Afterpay has been built with a range of security features and services to help keep your accounts secure, including monitoring transactions to identify fraudulent trends and behaviours, multi-factor authentication, and encryption to protect your information. How do I use Afterpay at Cranbourne North Dental?
Simply open the Afterpay app on your phone and tap the “Afterpay Card” on the Eftpos Machine at our practice. Please let us know you are using the Afterpay card to pay as it will allow us to track our banking more easily.
