How Afterpay works
Our partnership with Afterpay allows you to get your dental work now, while giving you the flexibility to Pay it in 4 with Afterpay – Get what you want now and pay it in 4 instalments over 6 weeks, interest-free!
Our practice automatically accepts Afterpay with the use of the Afterpay Card. Simply let our staff know that you will be using the Afterpay card and tap the card on our Eftpos machines. Please note: credit card surcharges may apply.
Afterpay offers simple and affordable instalment plans for dental patients. Afterpay allows you to pay off your procedure in four equal instalments, due every 2 weeks. For example, if your treatment costs $400, you will only need to pay an initial 25% deposit ($100), followed by the remaining three instalments of $100 (per fortnight). There is no additional cost to use Afterpay so long as you pay on time*.

When you use Afterpay at Cranbourne North Dental, you pay for your dental treatment in 4 instalments over 6 weeks, without incurring any interest. To use Afterpay, use your Afterpay card* (via the Afterpay app) when you need to pay for your appointment on our Eftpos machines. You pay for the first instalment of 25% at the time of purchase, and the remaining three instalments will be automatically deducted from your nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.
*Please note that a credit card surcharge may apply to your Afterpay Card transaction.

To set up an Afterpay account you’ll need to:
- Live in Australia or New Zealand
- Be over 18 years of age
- Have an Australian/New Zealand debit or credit card
- Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number

- Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract
- Credit checks apply

Your spending limits will vary depending if you are a new or existing Afterpay customer and your repayments on current orders
Pay for your visit by tapping your Afterpay card on our Eftpos machines
Once approved, the payment schedule will be displayed in the Afterpay App.
*Please note: Failure to make a payment on time will result in an initial late fee of $10 and a further $7 fee if the payment remains unpaid 7 days after the due date.

What is Afterpay?
Afterpay is a buy now, pay later platform that lets you pay for your items in 4 instalments over 6 weeks, interest free.
Are there any fees for using Afterpay?
Afterpay caps late fees to help keep costs manageable for customers who miss a payment. Late fees will never exceed 25% of the order total or $68 per order, whichever is lower.
How this works:
- For orders under $40: A one-time late fee of up to 25% of the order total applies
- For orders of $40 or more: A $10 late fee is charged when a payment is missed. If the outstanding amount remains unpaid after seven days, an additional $7 late fee applies . This is the same for all late payments until the 25% cap or $68 amount is reached. To remain within the cap, we may charge partial amounts of the $10 and $7 fees.
- You can check your General Terms for other late fees caps that may apply.
- Afterpay is committed to doing everything they can to help you not miss a payment, including sending you payment reminders and offering options to reschedule upcoming payment dates.
- Afterpay is designed to be completely different to traditional credit products that charge interest, so that customers are never in a situation of high compounding interest and revolving debt.

How do I use Afterpay at Cranbourne North Dental?
Simply open the Afterpay app on your phone and tap the “Afterpay Card” on the Eftpos Machine at our practice. Please let us know you are using the Afterpay card to pay as it will allow us to track our banking more easily.

Do I need a deposit if I sign up with Afterpay?
You will need to ensure that you have at least one quarter (25%) of the amount you are going to use in the linked account. E.g. if you are going to spend $400 on Afterpay, you will need to make sure you have $100 in your account ready to be debited by Afterpay.
